Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso Embarrass John Cena & Logan Paul On WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso had a very successful confrontation with John Cena and Logan Paul during the WWE SmackDown main event.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Tampa, John Cena interfered in Jey Uso’s World Heavyweight Title defense against Logan Paul. Cena blatantly interfered in the match to try to help Paul win, but luckily for Jey, his old friend, Cody Rhodes, was there to save the day. Jey ended up retaining his title.

After the match, Cody Rhodes issued a challenge for Money in the Bank that will see him team up with Jey Uso against John Cena and Logan Paul. The match was made official by WWE as the likely main event of the show.

In the main event of WWE SmackDown in Knoxville, Cody Rhodes was supposed to meet John Cena for a face-to-face showdown. While addressing his WrestleMania 41 loss to Cena, Cody acknowledged that if Cena ruins wrestling like he wants to do, then Cody is partially to blame. Cody brought out his Money in the Bank tag team partner Jey Uso, which the fans loved and let to several minutes of Yeeting.

When John Cena arrived, he told Cody he was nothing more than a John Cena wannabe and he said the same thing to Jey. Cena said it makes him sick. Cena said that they want his fame and money, but they will get neither because they are too desperate and too lazy. Cena claimed there was one other person in WWE who embodies hustle, loyalty, and respect, and he’s got the fortune, fame, and followers to back that up. Cena said his partner for the main event of Money in the Bank is here as well. That brought out Logan Paul.

Logan Paul’s Words Ignite A Fight With Cody Rhodes And Jey Uso

As usual, Logan Paul was cocky and hated by the crowd. Paul said that he should have left Saturday Night’s Main Event with that World Heavyweight Championship, but Jey got lucky. Paul said that Jey needed Cody to save him. Paul called Cody and Jey “nepo babies” while Paul said that Cena and himself are self-made men.

Paul said that five years ago, nobody would have believed that he would become a WWE superstar, and they never would have believed that he would tag team with the Greatest of All Time. Paul said that his time is now. Paul said that Cena is the Last Real Champion while Paul is the face of this company. Paul said, ‘If you want some, come get some.’

Jey said that they don’t have to wait until Money in the Bank because they can end this right now. Cena wanted to leave, but Paul stopped him. Cody wondered if they would go backstage to polish his Peacemaker. Ouch.

The physicality started as Jey sent Paul outside the ring. Jey hit a superkick on Cena. Cody hit a Disaster Kick on Cena. Jey dove onto Cena on the floor. Cody avoided a clothesline by Paul, and Jey hit a superkick on Paul. Cody hit Paul with a Cutter while Jey held Paul, so it was their version of the 1D. Cena and Paul were on the floor.

Cody Rhodes held up the WWE Title in the ring beside World Champion Jey Uso in the ring. The fans were cheering and that was the end of the show.
