Cody Rhodes Lays Down Huge WWE SummerSlam Title Challenge

Cody Rhodes is not messing around as he wants to get his hands on The Bloodline and Solo Sikoa as he lays down a huge WWE SummerSlam challenge.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was pinned at Money In The Bank as he, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton lost a huge six-man tag team match to The Bloodline. Solo Sikoa was the man who picked up that win, doing what Roman Reigns couldn’t do at WrestleMania 40 in defeating The American Nightmare as he tightened his grip on his claim to be The Tribal Chief.

On SmackDown in Worcester, The Bloodline made their presence felt taking out WWE Tag Team Champions DIY as the ring was cleared for Solo Sikoa to address everyone. As The Bloodline held court, Cody Rhodes interrupted and laid down a challenge to Sikoa to face him for his WWE Championship at SummerSlam.

Rhodes then offered to not wait until SummerSlam which led to a four-on-one beatdown on him before Randy Orton’s came to lend a helping hand. Orton might have wished he hadn’t bothered however as he ended up being triple powerbombed through a table while Rhodes was tied up in the ropes and forced to watch the vicious attack.

Cody Rhodes Joins 2 Other WWE Title Matches On SummerSlam Card

Two other championship matches have already been made for SummerSlam as the winners of the WWE King & Queen of the Ring tournaments get their shots at the title.

Nia Jax will challenge Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship while Jax’s new friend and the current Ms. Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton likely to be watching on.

Damian Priest might be facing the toughest challenge of his reign as World Heavyweight Champion as he likely won’t have CM Punk to intervene as he defends his gold against Gunther.
