Cody Rhodes Fresh Hint About Match With The Rock
Cody Rhodes still has The Rock on his mind even though he is facing another member of The Bloodline at SummerSlam.
Facing a member of The Bloodline isn’t something new for Cody Rhodes. In fact, he already did that four months ago when he defeated Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Sunday to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
While Cody Rhodes has been rolling in singles match, he lost in a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank when Solo Sikoa pinned him.
Due to that victory, at WWE SummerSlam on August 3rd in Cleveland, Cody Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa.
During an interview on ESPN’s Get Up, Cody Rhodes spoke about his history with The Bloodline while also mentioning The Rock, who pinned Cody in a tag team match at WrestleMania 40 Saturday.
“Well, this weekend, SummerSlam is one of WWE’s big four PLE pay-per-view events. This, hopefully, in an entertaining way, is a bit of a repeat of what we got at WrestleMania, which was the biggest show in wrestling history. I defeated The Tribal Chief, the True Tribal Chief, that being Roman Reigns. I look to defeat the pretender, Solo Sokoa, at SummerSlam.”
“If you’re also someone in The Bloodline, perhaps named The Rock, we’ll be watching because if you claim The Tribal Chief mantle next, same thing will happen to you.”
While nothing has been announced officially, the expectation is that Cody Rhodes and The Rock will meet in a singles match at WrestleMania 41 next April.
Cody Rhodes Will Remain A Suit Guy
Recently, Cody Rhodes spoke about being a guy who likes wearing a suit and also took a shot at his wardrobe critics.
“I will probably be a suit guy in the industry forever. I don’t know if this is appropriate for this show or not, but I’ll say it, and I’ve said it in interviews prior, anyone who I’ve ever worked with in business who’s intimidated by the fact that you wear a suit, I feel like they have a little d**k, like clearly.”
Clearly, come on man. Everyone does what they do. Because I don’t want to wear shorts with you. Give me a break. The energy that comes from people who are like, ‘Ugh, I don’t know man, he’s in that suit, he’s trying to be something.’ I’m not trying to be something. I want to be something. That’s the whole thing. So maybe not…maybe little penis. They know who they are, with the little penises.”
As for what’s next, on the August 2nd edition of WWE Smackdown, Cody is set for a face-to-face showdown with Solo Sikoa just one night before their SummerSlam match.
