Cody Rhodes Wins Huge First-Time Ever Match After WWE Raw
Cody Rhodes might have his sights set on Gunther at Crown Jewel but it seems his issues with The Bloodline still aren’t over following WWE Raw.
Cody Rhodes formed an unlikely team with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood to defeat The Bloodline. Rhodes sacrificed himself to wipe out Jacob Fatu with a splash through the announce table letting Reigns finish off Solo Sikoa with a spear.
Since then, Rhodes has been forced to move on to other issues as he will challenge World Heavyweight Champion Gunther for the Crown Jewel Championship in Saudi Arabia but The Bloodline’s chaos continues to seep everywhere in WWE.
Solo Sikoa’s group took out Roman Reigns once again on SmackDown and on Raw they may have pushed things closer to a reunion that could be their undoing.
Cody Rhodes Clashes With Jacob Fatu
Raw in Philadelphia was headlined by Jey Uso defending his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker. The Bloodline interfered in that match with Jacob Fatu wiping out Uso before Breakker finished him off with a spear to become a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.
That is where the show finished on TV but the live crowd were treated to one more match as Cody Rhodes put his WWE Championship on the line against Jacob Fatu in a Philly Street Fight. This was the first time the two men had clashed in singles competition in the company and fan footage from the event shows Rhodes nailing Fatu with three Cross Rhodes to pick up the win.
The match was Fatu’s first singles bout in WWE but it will likely never be referenced on TV as it existed only for the live crowd.
