Cody Rhodes Allegedly Bid Farewell To Part Of His WWE Character
Cody Rhodes’ bio on his X (fka Twitter) profile just says the word ‘KING’, despite him having several other accolades to his name.
Several speculations have claimed that The American Nightmare will soon turn heel, marking a new chapter in his time in WWE.
A certain tweet by King of the Ring has added fuel to the fire.
Cody Rhodes may have bid farewell to a part of his character
The American Nightmare put out a tweet in which he thanked the fans for being with him in his journey so far. Furthermore, he added that he is looking forward to what happens next, essentially, the next chapter.
On Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts analyzed the tweet, and claimed that it seems The American Nightmare could be leaving to shoot for a movie. However, his stronger opinion was that Cody Rhodes was bidding farewell to a part of his character.
Listen, dude. You can tell me that this is because he’s going to film a movie or something like that, but in reality, I don’t know. And it’s an odd place to do it on Twitter, but the way the world of kayfabe and storylines is handled these days has become completely unpredictable. It’s become completely different than it ever was before. And to me, I’m just going to tell you how it reads to me, that he is saying goodbye to a part of this character that he’s been building.
Don’t flinch. Thank you all for riding with me all this time. Love you for it.
Excited for what we do next.

The American Nightmare is one of the top babyfaces in WWE, and to have him turn heel will mean two huge heels will work together in the company at the same time. This has seldom been the case. Rhodes’ heel turn and Cena’s babyface turn may happen around the same time.
