Cody Rhodes Explains Political Reason Wrestlers Do Well In Hollywood

Cody Rhodes has given his thoughts on wrestlers transitioning to Hollywood.

Multiple wrestling stars have made the jump from the ring to the big screen, with The Rock and Batista being recent standout examples. During a recent appearance on Gabby AF, current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes explained how the harsh world of wrestling more than prepares stars for the move to Hollywood.

“Wrestling makes you change. It hardens you at one point. It can make you bitter, it can make you angry, but then there is another light at the end of the tunnel once you get through it. That’s why wrestlers do so well in Hollywood.”

The American Nightmare believes behind-the-scenes politics in the movie world are “laughable” compared to wrestling, making it easy to adjust.

“The politics on a Hollywood level are laughable compared to what you’re dealing with in wrestling. ‘Oh, this guy shows up on time. Oh, he had a comment about the writing but it wasn’t a major what to do.’ I feel like we adjust quicker because the business can be so mean to you. You either get out or you adjust.”

Cody Rhodes Lands Role In Naked Gun Reboot

No stranger to acting himself, Cody Rhodes has been added to the upcoming reboot of Naked Gun. Leslie Nielsen originally led the classic comedy as hapless Detective Frank Drebin, but Liam Neeson will now take his role to bring the franchise into a new era.
