Cody Rhodes Explains Why He Was Fired From His First Job
WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes has divulged the hilarious reason he was let go from his first-ever job.
Cody Rhodes’ job prospects were the talk of the wrestling world in early 2022 as the star and his Brandi announced to much shock that they were both leaving AEW. Since then the former TNT Champion has rejoined WWE and made a huge splash in his first bout back in the company at WrestleMania 38 where he defeated Seth Rollins.
Rhodes has been out of action for several months, since suffering a torn pectoral muscle shortly before his Hell In A Cell bout with Rollins. The American Nightmare somehow came through that match and defeated Rollins again but when he will return to WWE screens currently remains unknown. What is not unknown is why a young Cody Rhodes lost his first-ever job at Einstein Bros.
Taking to social media, Rhodes responded to MLW’s Alicia Atout who asked what people’s first jobs were. According to the grandson of a plumber his fondness for bagels was his undoing at his first job:
“.@EinsteinBros – you were allowed 1 bagel a shift. I went into the dining area 4 times a day w/a cinnamon sugar bagel toasted with honey almond spread and called out “William – toasted bagel”. There was no William, it was for me. I was terminated. Love that place though forever.”

Einstein Bros responded to the message saying that they loved Rhodes but crucially, they didn’t offer to re-employ that star.
