Cody Rhodes Makes Bold Prediction About Dominik Mysterio’s WWE Future
Cody Rhodes believes Dominik Mysterio has a huge future in WWE
The villainous 27 year-old Superstar has enjoyed tremendous success since joining the company in 2019, initially in tag team competition alongside his Father, WWE Hall Of Famer Rey Mysterio.
The pair lifted the SmackDown Tag Team Championship together before Dominik shocked the wrestling world by turning on Mysterio senior during Clash At The Castle on 3rd September 2022.
Dominik Mysterio then joined the Judgment Day faction and featured prominently on WWE television alongside on-screen girlfriend Rhea Ripley, going on to face his Father at WrestleMania 39 as well as lifting the NXT North American Championship in July 2023.
Having previously seemed inseparable, ‘Dirty’ Dom turned on Ripley to side with WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at SummerSlam 2024, cementing his place as one of the most hated Superstars in the company.
Despite fans being keen to boo the San Diego-born star, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes sees big things in the future for Dominik Mysterio.
Speaking recently to ‘Good Karma Wrestling‘, Rhodes revealed that he expected Mysterio’s stock to continue to rise in the future and even hinted that fans would get behind a babyface turn in future:
“I look at somebody…not my favorite person, don’t really know him well, and what I know of him, he’s not the nicest dude, but somebody like Dom Mysterio. This guy was involved in a match for his own custody as a child and is now this wonderfully great contributor to WWE.
Whether they’re booing him out of the building or not, we like that. That’s an awesome thing to see. Him and Liv have had an incredible story. Dom is somebody that, if I’m looking at a story I want to watch and I can tune in to WWE in 15 years, I expect to see him in a completely different light.
Nothing like we have now, a completely different light and a full evolution of his character.”
Cody Rhodes Praised For Recent Roman Reigns Segment
‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes has also been the recipient of high praise recently.
Cody Rhodes is set to join forces with the recently returned Roman Reigns to take on Bloodline duo Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at the upcoming Premium Live Event ‘Bad Blood’ on 5th October, with legendary WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T recently praising Rhodes for a televised segment with former rival Reigns in the build up to the bout.
