Cody Rhodes was eradicated on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

The American Nightmare captured the Undisputed WWE Championship last Sunday by defeating John Cena in a Street Fight on Night 2 of SummerSlam.

After The Leader of the Cenation kicked off tonight’s episode of SmackDown, he was confronted by Logan Paul, who challenged him to a match at Clash in the Castle. The Last Real Champion was then attacked by Paul’s SummerSlam partner, Drew McIntyre.

As Cody Rhodes rushed to the aid of his former rival, Cena announced that he had accepted The Maverick’s challenge and would also team up with the new Undisputed WWE Champion to face Paul and McIntyre in a tag team match in the main event of tonight’s episode of the blue brand.

Will Drew McIntyre Challenge Cody Rhodes For The Undisputed WWE Title?

During the main event match, Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre tried their best to isolate Cody Rhodes from his partner, John Cena. Although they succeeded for most of the fight, The American Nightmare finally made it to his corner to tag in The Leader of the Cenation.

Following the hot tag, Cena delivered a Five-Knuckle Shuffle and an Attitude Adjustment to The Maverick before going for the pin. Nonetheless, the three counts were broken by McIntyre. As The Scottish Warrior went to hit the Claymore on Cena, he was stopped by Rhodes. The fight between the two superstars then went to the outside while Paul hit Cena with a low blow to end the match on a disqualification.

As Cena and Paul fought to the back, Rhodes and McIntyre continued their battle at ringside. The American Nightmare initially had the upper hand, but The Scottish Warrior turned the tables after hitting the champion with the title. McIntyre then shockingly Claymored Rhodes through the announce table after taking a deep look at the championship belt, seemingly teasing going after the title.
