Cody Rhodes In Real Danger Of Being Stripped Of WWE Title

Cody Rhodes WWE

There are certain rules in WWE that no one should violate, especially if they are a world champion like Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre have been at each other’s throats for months now. The Undisputed WWE Champion created a mess at Drew McIntyre’s house over the weekend, and he wasn’t even supposed to be there.

Only SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was supposed to be at The Scottish Warrior’s house for a meeting.

Cody Rhodes may have dug his own grave

Over the weekend, Nick Aldis and WWE’s security team went over to Drew McIntyre’s house to explain the terms of his return. Aldis revealed that Cody Rhodes and the company want him reinstated and he will get the championship match, but he needs to issue an apology to the referee he Claymored.

Cody wants you reinstated. We all want you reinstated. You’re a top talent in WWE. Obviously an integral part of SmackDown. So I have a proposal. I think that you’re gonna like the terms — you get a one-on-one match with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The title will be on the line.

To show our officials and the WWE Universe that you’ve repented, I’d like a public apology to Dan Engler for that heinous attack. He’s lucky he’s not in intensive care. There’s also a hefty fine, but I think that your payday from Survivor Series WarGames should just about cover that. So those are the terms. Take it or leave it.

Instead of agreeing to the terms, Drew McIntyre hit back with his own set of terms. It said that Rhodes cannot lay a finger on him before the championship match.

I want you to fly back to Stamford, Connecticut after we finish here. I want you to get your little lawyers together. And I want you to drop some documents that say Cody Rhodes cannot lay one finger on me before that Championship match or he is stripped of the WWE Championship.

Nick Aldis reluctantly agreed to this, but the agreement was verbal. The legal papers wouldn’t be ready until the end of the day. However, the meeting didn’t even conclude when The American Nightmare launched an assault on Drew McIntyre at the latter’s house! The negotiation had turned into a physical confrontation outside McIntyre’s home.

While Aldis only agreed verbally to McIntyre’s conditions, The Scottish Warrior can hold him to it and ask him to strip Cody Rhodes of the world championship for violating the terms.
