Cody Rhodes Confirms He’s Changed His Mind About WWE RAW Star
Cody Rhodes lauds WWE RAW star Bron Breakker.
The American Nightmare is set to put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against his rival, The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre, at the company’s inaugural premium live event, Wrestlepalooza, on September 20 in Indianapolis.
Mere days ahead of his clash with McIntyre, he joined Evan Cohen, Chris Canty, and Michelle Smallmon on ESPN’s Unsportsmanliketo talk about his upcoming singles match. During the discussion, he also expressed his admiration for Bron Breakker, sharing that he now believes the 27-year-old star will headline WrestleMania one day.
I didn’t think this at first, and I don’t mean this with any disrespect. I do think it now, though. He’s the future WWE. He’s definitely someone that we’re positioning to be there as we go. And I mean main event WrestleMania, potentially, the big, big stuff, win a WWE title, all these things. (From 12:47 to 13:01)
Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed Want WWE Tag Team Gold
Bron Breakker will also be in action at Wrestlepalooza, where he will team up with his Vision stablemate, Bronson Reed, to take on The Usos in a tag team match. Speaking on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike, Breakker stated that once The Brons (he and his tag partner) deal with Jimmy and Jey Uso, they’ll go after the tag team gold.
Usos, decorated tag team, been around a long time. A lot of people know them. They’re also second/third generation legacy family. I don’t think they’re the greatest of all time. I think we’re gonna whip them on Saturday.
The Brons – my partner Bronson Reed – I think we’re gonna come away with the victory and then we’re going for tag team gold after that.
The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy) are the current WWE Tag Team Champions (titles defended on SmackDown), and Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are the reigning World Tag Team Champions (titles defended on RAW).
