Cody Rhodes Challenge Accepted For Money In The Bank

Cody Rhodes still wants to finish his story and hold world championship gold in WWE but he has a very different challenge ahead of him at Money In The Bank.

Raw in Wichita, Kansas began with Adam Pearce presenting Rhea Ripley with a new Women’s World Championship belt as he had presented the new WWE Women’s Title belt to Asuka on SmackDown. An excited Dominik Mysterio soon made his way to the ring to celebrate with his ‘mami’ which in turn brought out Cody Rhodes.

Dominik Mysterio had slapped The American Nightmare one week previously and now Rhodes was looking for some form of retribution. Cody Rhodes told Mysterio that he wished he was standing with Brock Lesnar having The Beast Incarnate answering his open challenge for a rubber match between the two men but since Lesnar wasn’t doing that Rhodes challenged Mysterio to a bout at Money In The Bank.

Rhodes went back and forth with both Mysterio and Ripley on the microphone as he pushed for an answer. The Miz tried to sneak attack Rhodes but was cut off, however, that provided the opportunity for Dominik Mysterio to get another cheapshot in on Rhodes before bailing from the ring.

Rhea Ripley then accepted the challenge on behalf of Dominik Mysterio meaning that he will face Cody Rhodes in London, England on July 1st.
