Cody Rhodes Calls Out Drew McIntyre Over Massive Mess Up

Drew McIntyre Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes will face Drew McIntyre at Wrestlepalooza, and fans are convinced The Scottish Warrior will not dethrone The American Nightmare.

While McIntyre is a great wrestler, he doesn’t seem to be positioned to be the one who will dethrone Cody Rhodes as the Undisputed WWE Champion.

On the other hand, there is a portion of the fandom that wants to see heel McIntyre lift the belt and wreak absolute havoc as the top champion in WWE.

Cody Rhodes calls out Drew McIntyre over a social media post

Recently, The American Nightmare appeared on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike. During the conversation, Chris Canty asked him about what Rhodes has that Drew McIntyre does not.

Cody Rhodes pointed out that while The Scottish Warrior is a great main-eventer guy, he is a wrestler’s wrestler, and one of the most dangerous guys in the business, it’s the social media element of his character that puts him at a disadvantage.

He called out McIntyre over his recent social media post comparing what The Rock wanted from Rhodes and what he wants from Cody Rhodes.

Well, I feel like my first answer to this question, I didn’t, people didn’t fully understand. Drew’s 6’5 280. Uh, he’s a wrestler’s wrestler, like real heavyweight wrestling. But let me frame it up for what Drew’s focus is more than anything. And maybe that’s it. I just focus on this. I live and breathe WWE. It’s my favorite thing. Uh, I get to be the champ. I’m honored by that. But Drew put out a post, and hopefully this isn’t too unsavory for the for this moment. Drew put out a post recently that said, “The Rock wants Cody’s soul, but I want his ass.” And I feel like just that. That’s all I need right there. I’m good.

You already blew it just in the. You already know, again, one of the most dangerous guys we have in all sports entertainment. No matter how you look at it, he’s uh, he is the definition of a main event every night anywhere, is what Drew can do. And we have very similar story, leaving WWE and coming back the way. But uh, his focus on the social media aspect of his character, I feel like, puts me at an advantage. I also think he’s a cat guy, and I’m a dog guy.

It’s difficult to say with certainty that Drew McIntyre will be at the losing end of the battle, but it seems likely that Rhodes will walk out as the winner. On the other hand, there is one person, The American Nightmare is positive will defeat him down the road.
