Cody Rhodes Breaks Silence After Disappointing WWE Loss

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has broken his silence after suffering a tough loss at Survivor Series.

Survivor Series saw the WWE Champion team up with World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, The Usos, and his old rival Roman Reigns in a brutal WarGames bout against Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, and The Vision.

With all ten competitors in the ring, there was shock as a masked assailant entered the action, laying out CM Punk with a kick and a stomp, mimicking the injured Seth Rollins. That allowed Bron Breakker to nail Punk with a vicious spear to pick up the win for his team.

It has since been reported that former US Champion Austin Theory was the masked man who attacked Punk.

For Cody Rhodes, this marked the second high-profile loss in as many months, as he was also defeated by Seth Rollins in Perth, Australia, for the Crown Jewel Title.

Cody Rhodes Solemn After Latest Loss

Now taking to social media, Rhodes has sent his first message since his latest loss, sharing a photo of himself backstage at Survivor Series, soundtracked by Luckiest Man by The Wood Brothers.

Cody Rhodes was involved in an altercation with Roman Reigns after WarGames ended, as he refused Reigns’ offer of help to get to his feet. It’s been suggested that WWE is planning to have Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the third time in the WrestleMania 42 main event. They previously headlined both WrestleMania 39 and 40 against one another.
