What Cody Rhodes Blames For Kevin Owens’ WWE Attack
Cody Rhodes has broken his silence after he was attacked after WWE Bad Blood by Kevin Owens but it seems Rhodes isn’t sure what’s next for them.
After weeks of tension building on SmackDown seeing Cody Rhodes standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood proved to be too much for Kevin Owens.
After Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in Atlanta, The Rock made his shock return to WWE but the surprises were not done yet for the American Nightmare.
After Bad Blood, fans captured footage of Owens confronting Rhodes in the parking lot, and while it’s unclear what was said between them, KO poked his one-time friend before attacking him. The brawling pair were quickly interrupted by security who pulled them apart.
Triple H has broken his silence on the attack but WWE is clearly keen to make it seem like this was not a normal part of the show.
Cody Rhodes Unsure About Kevin Owens Feud
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Cody Rhodes wanted to keep his thoughts brief over the attack and admits he doesn’t know if his issues with Kevin Owens will spill over on-screen:
I’d be foolish to try and tell you anything different because the entire video exists online and you can see every inch of it. I’ll try and keep my remarks short in terms of how I feel but I will tell you this.
It’s a very passionate industry, everybody wants the north star of our business which is the WWE Championship and the championship that I hold at this time. I don’t know if you’ll see this unfold on screens, on Smackdown, on Raw or when we come overseas.
Cody Rhodes noted that the matter might be dealt with internally and switched topics to comment on how happy he was with his match at Bad Blood and why he was thrilled for the city of Atlanta:
Pro wrestling and sports entertainment tend to dive into that. Perhaps it does, or perhaps it’s dealt with internally. I overall, I did feel very happy about my match at Bad Blood. I was happy for the city of Atlanta, that being the city that raised me.
Everything happened and appeared and I was happy for Atlanta and the WWE because it feels like the road to WrestleMania started early this year.
On the upcoming European tour for WWE, Cody Rhodes will be putting his WWE Championship on the line against Solo Sikoa in a Bull Rope match.
