Cody Rhodes Back Working For WWE Despite Injury

Cody Rhodes has been spotted back at work for WWE despite the major injury that has seen him out of action since Hell In A Cell in June.

Cody Rhodes caused a sensation when he and his wife Brandi announced they were leaving AEW in early 2022. A bigger commotion was to come when The American Nightmare returned to WWE for the first time since 2016 as Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent at WrestleMania 38.

This kicked off a trio of matches between the pair, with their feud being sidetracked due to a torn pectoral injury suffered by Rhodes. Despite that injury, Cody Rhodes still competed inside Hell In A Cell with a gasp-inducing bruise across his chest and arm, defeating Rollins despite his obvious disadvantage.

Now Fightful Select has reported that Cody Rhodes has been spotted back at work for WWE, albeit not in the ring. Rhodes has been spotted filming a new WWE commercial with The Miz in Los Angeles within the past week. The Miz’s wife Maryse was also said to be in attendance as was Triple H and intriguingly, rap superstar Bad Bunny.

The report concludes by stating that Rhodes is fully expected to be back in the ring in plenty of time for WrestleMania in 2023 which takes place in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.
