Four Top WWE Superstars have advanced to the second round of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

Four King and Queen of the Ring first-round qualifiers were held last night on SmackDown.

Randy Orton returned for the first time since his loss to John Cena at Backlash to fight LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, and Aleister Black in the first qualifier. The Viper walked out victorious after pinning The Megastar.

Cody Rhodes also got through the first round of the King of the Ring tournament, defeating Andrade, Damian Priest, and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Meanwhile, Jade Cargill was the first to qualify in the Queen of the Ring tournament on that episode of the blue brand after beating Nia Jax, Piper Niven, and Michin.

Alexa Bliss also reserved her ticket to the second round of the tournament by pinning Candice LeRae in the Fatal 4-Way match that included Charlotte Flair and Alba Fyre.

Sami Zayn was the first to reserve his place in the second round of King of the Ring by beating Penta, Dominik Mysterio, and Bron Breakker in a Fatal 4-Way match, taking a step closer to fulfilling his dream of becoming a world champion.

On the other hand, Roxanne Perez advanced in the Queen of the Ring tournament after overcoming Kairi Sane, Rhea Ripley, and Liv Morgan.

Zayn will now square off with Randy Orton, while Perez will fight Jade Cargill in the semi-finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.
