CM Punk’s Surprising Bucket List Wish Involving John Cena & Batista

CM Punk

CM Punk has a bucket list, and it involves John Cena and Batista.

Punk, Cena, and Batista share the same denominator: all three are products of WWE. CM Punk is still active at the company. But Cena and Batista have moved on to their careers in Hollywood.

Cena wrestled his last match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 against Gunther, while Batista’s last WWE match came at WrestleMania 35 against Triple H.

That said, speaking on My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox, CM Punk revealed his bucket list wish, saying that he wants to work together with John Cena and Batista in a movie.

“I’ve had a couple meetings, and that topic has come up. I can only imagine what John’s slate looks like; it’s probably super, super busy. I’d imagine some time in the future we’ll be working together. I’ve got like bucket list names I wanna work with, and selfishly a lot of them are my friends; Dave (Bautista) and John are probably like the top two.”

CM Punk On John Cena’s Last WWE Match

During the same interview, CM Punk also shared his opinion of John Cena’s retirement match. He said that while many found it disappointing, he found it “beautiful.”

Just like the John Cena and Gunther finish. I feel like it’s the same thing. Some people, maybe I don’t think you understand what you’re watching. If you didn’t like it, I can also understand that.

To make it your entire personality and spend an unhealthy amount of time talking about it, I’ll put it this way, if John won, they’d be mad about that too, but we wouldn’t be talking about it anymore.

We’re still talking about that finish. The smile, the tap. ‘Oh my God, the guy who said don’t give up, gave up.’ Did he? I thought it was beautiful.
