Backstage News On CM Punk And Young Bucks Issues Not Being Resolved

CM Punk The Young Bucks AEW

The return of CM Punk continues to be a hot topic with new information being provided about whether he has mended fences with The Young Bucks.

While CM Punk is expected to return to AEW on the Saturday, June 17th debut of a new show called Collision, part of the deal is contingent on the fact that Punk reportedly won’t have any contact with wrestlers that he has issues with. That event is expected to take place at the United Center in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.

That means that there will apparently be some sort of AEW roster split with CM Punk on the Saturday show joined by his good friends like AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) while people that don’t like Punk such as The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Adam Page and others would probably stay on Dynamite on Wednesdays.

In an update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote about how the issues between CM Punk and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) have not been resolved.

“As of the weekend, there was no resolution to the situation and there are many situations and things involved. Since I’ve been asked about this a lot, Punk has not apologized or attempted to make any direct amends to the Young Bucks, although those close to him said that’s because he’s been told not to have any contact with them and without any contact he couldn’t.”

“Nobody has said he would if he could or he wouldn’t, because there are people who want everyone to make amends and that was suggested by many of at least an attempt at a way.”

It was also noted by Meltzer that a meeting scheduled with Tony Khan, CM Punk, FTR and Chris Jericho has not taken place yet.
