The WWE cameras were on hand to follow CM Punk around during the company’s latest tour of Japan.

The city of Perth, Australia, hosted SmackDown, the Crown Jewel PLE, and Monday Night Raw for three huge events in front of some great crowds.

After the shows in Perth, the WWE Raw crew (along with some SmackDown wrestlers) had live events in Melbourne and Tokyo. During the Japan events, the WWE roster paid tribute to future Hall of Famer AJ Styles, who made it clear that it was likely his last time wrestling in Japan.

Former 6-time WWE World Champion CM Punk was also part of the shows in Australia and Japan, so the WWE cameras were on hand to follow CM Punk around in a 10-minute vlog posted on the WWE YouTube channel from Melbourne and Tokyo.

The video features CM Punk backstage getting ready for his match, along with his reaction when he hears the crowd roar. There were also in-ring hijinks with Punk hitting Rhea Ripley’s Riptide on Dominik Mysterio. Punk also praised how good Iyo Sky and Ripley are as performers.

Punk was shown in the streets of Japan talking about how big it was for wrestlers to compete in Japan. He spoke about some big names who had success over there.

There were also scenes featuring CM Punk walking the streets of Japan with Bayley and Lyra Valkyria as they considered buying unique merchandise.

Punk was asked about competing in Japan for the first time in 14 years, and he replied: “Ask me after.”

They showed clips of CM Punk in action against the Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio. The Japanese fans were happy to see Punk and cheered him a lot after the match, which he won.

Ahead of night two in Tokyo, CM Punk spoke about how they were hoping for an even bigger crowd. Punk said that he was grateful for the Japanese fans and the wrestlers in WWE that he works with. Punk also stated that this match was for his MMA training coach, who passed away, Duke Roufus. Punk even posed with a fan holding an “AJ Lee’s husband” sign.

On night two in Japan, Punk teamed up with Japanese wrestling legend Shinsuke Nakamura against The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Punk talked about how this is where he belongs, surrounded by all these great men and women.

CM Punk spoke about how they did it right by celebrating AJ Styles. Punk said that Styles started around the same time he did, Styles did things his way, and he is very influential. Punk said they both exceeded expectations by becoming major WWE superstars. Punk admitted he didn’t know how long he had left as a wrestler while acknowledging John Cena’s retirement this year and AJ Styles planning to retire next year.

To end the video, Punk said the current stars are waiting for the new crop of talent to take their spots, though he said it with a big smile on his face.
