CM Punk Inspired By WWE Legend When It Comes To Acting Career
CM Punk is looking to a former WWE superstar for acting roles.
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is a busy guy in the ring and outside of it. While Punk is busy working for WWE on the Raw brand, as well as competing on most live events that the company has, he’s also busy with acting roles.
Punk was recently featured in the hugely successful animated film “Zootopia 2.” Punk is also going to be in a new movie called “Night Patrol,” which will see him in the role of a police officer who’s also a vampire.
While speaking to That Hashtag Show about his life as an actor, Punk mentioned his good friend and former WWE Champion Dave Bautista (aka Batista in WWE) as somebody who takes all kinds of roles in films.
“I think this movie is going to kind of open up eyes to my talent, but also the litany of talent that is in this movie and yeah, I cast a wide net. I want to do everything- like Dave Bautista.
Currently shooting a rom-com in Calgary, which I think is going to turn a lot of people’s heads to like- there’s no such thing as small roles. I want to jump into every single opportunity that gets thrown my way and have fun doing it.”
CM Punk Wants To Do Movies With John Cena And Dave Bautista
During another recent interview talking about his acting career, CM Punk spoke about how he would love to share the screen with some of his best friends in wrestling, like John Cena and Dave Bautista.
“I’ve had a couple meetings, and that topic has come up. I can only imagine what John’s slate looks like; it’s probably super, super busy. I’d imagine some time in the future we’ll be working together.
I’ve got like bucket list names I wanna work with, and selfishly a lot of them are my friends; Dave (Bautista) and John are probably like the top two.”
As for his WWE career, CM Punk and Finn Balor exchanged words on the January 12th edition of Raw, which set up Punk defending the World Heavyweight Title against Balor on the January 19th edition of Raw in Belfast.
