CM Punk On WWE Star: “Everybody Hates This Dude”
CM Punk knows that everybody hates a certain WWE superstar, but he also gave the wrestler credit for working hard.
At the November 1st edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, CM Punk became a 7-time WWE World Champion when he beat Jey Uso to win the title that Seth Rollins vacated due to injury.
When CM Punk celebrated his new championship on the November 3rd Raw episode, the man who cut him off during his speech was Logan Paul. While Paul made it clear he was coming for the title, the whole thing turned out to be a ruse to show that he was working with The Vision’s Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed, who Paul Heyman manages.
All of that led to Survivor Series when Breakker pinned Punk in the Men’s WarGames match thanks to an attack from a dreaded mystery attacker.
During an appearance on What’s For Lunch, CM Punk admitted that he has come around on his opinions regarding Logan Paul while Punk is a different man compared to who he was over a decade ago. Punk first spoke about how
“I understand the criticisms, and I would probably be levying them heavy against him if I was CM Punk from like 10 years ago. But to see him take it seriously and want to do more… but the way the business is now, it’s almost like, you know, pump the brakes. You don’t need to do more.”
CM Punk Believes All The Hate Logan Paul Gets Is A Good Thing
As he continued, CM Punk made the point that while Logan Paul is hated by many, it’s also good for the company.
“Everybody hates this dude, right? And I think that’s one of the more admirable things about it — how much everybody hates him. Because in our business, that’s a good thing. That’s dollars.”
Regarding his next World Heavyweight Title defense, CM Punk will put his championship on the line against Bron Breakker on the January 5th edition of Raw because Breakker pinned Punk in the WarGames match.
CM Punk has been absent from Raw for the two episodes in December. This past Monday, December 8th, he was filming a Netflix movie. It’s not yet known whether he will return for the December 15th episode of Raw.
