CM Punk Believes WWE Star Is “Best Wrestler In The World”
CM Punk thinks that another wrestler is worthy of the “Best Wrestler in the World” moniker that he used to say about himself.
In the main event of WWE Monday Night Raw in Perth, CM Punk faced LA Knight and Jey Uso in a match where the winner became the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. It’s a match that Punk won after hitting a GTS on Jey for the victory.
By earning that World Heavyweight Title match, Punk will once again try to prove that he’s the “best in the world,” which is a statement he has used throughout his career.
The reason why a lot of fans love and believe in CM Punk as a pro wrestler is because of the confidence he had every time he stepped into the ring. Due to that extreme level of confidence, Punk had no problem calling himself the “Best in the World” whether he was in ROH, WWE, or AEW.
These days, Punk is a more humble wrestler and a veteran leader on a roster where he is one of the most experienced wrestlers.
CM Punk Chooses Iyo Sky As WWE’s Best
At a WWE live event in Japan, CM Punk was in the ring with former Women’s Champions Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. As he addressed the crowd, Punk told them that he thinks Sky is the best wrestler in the world.
“My Japanese, very very bad. Rhea’s Japanese, even worse. Thankfully, we have IYO SKY.
Consistently, for my money, the best wrestler in the world.”
The praise for Sky isn’t anything new since WWE announcer Michael Cole also calls Sky one of the best superstars in the company as well.
