CM Punk Set For WWE Absence After Hell In A Cell

CM Punk

CM Punk seems uncertain about his future in WWE after Hell In A Cell and one star certainly wasn’t shedding any tears about him going home.

Ever since Drew McIntyre injured CM Punk in the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble, the two men have not stopped in trying to make each other’s life a sheer misery. Punk has cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship three times with his most heartbreaking screw job coming in McIntyre’s home country of Scotland at Clash at the Castle.

Drew McIntyre gained a measure of revenge at SummerSlam before Punk picked up a win of his own in a strap match at Bash In Berlin. With McIntyre unwilling to relent as far as Punk was concerned, it became clear that the issues between them could only be settled inside Hell In A Cell at Bad Blood.

Tables, steel steps, and wrenches were all used in the bout with McIntyre suffering a nasty landing on the steps after missing a Claymore attempt on Punk as blood poured out of both men.

Ultimately it was Punk who picked up the win over McIntyre with a chain-wrapped knee version of the Go 2 Sleep to bring Hell In A Cell to an end.

CM Punk Heading Home

Now on Raw in St. Louis, CM Punk has addressed his future as he appeared on the show bearing the ill effects of his time in Hell In A Cell. Punk seemed uncertain about his future as he told fans he was going home and that he’d like to say he’ll see them soon but he just doesn’t know.

However, Punk’s future could have been revealed before he even left the stage as Seth Rollins made his entrance and he shoulder-checked Punk on his way past to the ring after a staredown.

It was widely believed that CM Punk and Seth Rollins were set to clash for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 before Punk was injured in the Royal Rumble.
