CM Punk To Lose World Title To Ex-WWE Champion In 30 Seconds?
CM Punk is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion.
The Best in the World won the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, after defeating Jey Uso in a singles match.
Punk hasn’t defended the championship belt yet. But soon he’ll face his first challenger.
Bron Breakker pinned CM Punk at Survivor Series WarGames this past Saturday after a mystery man caused a distraction and attacked Punk.
Building on his momentum, Breakker called out Punk in an intense promo on the following Raw episode.
Bron insulted Punk and called him weak for handing him the win at Survivor Series so easily.
He also addressed Punk’s botch and claimed that he was trying to ruin his career when he dropped him on his neck during their match.
He then challenged Punk for his title. WWE later made the match official for the first RAW show of 2026 on January 5th.
WWE legend Bully Ray Is Excited To See CM Punk Vs Bron Breakker Brawl
Following the RAW episode, WWE legend Bully Ray analyzed Breakker’s promo on his Busted Open podcast.
He stated that a match against CM Punk will test whether Breakker can walk the walk.
“Throw [Breakker] in the deep end. Let’s see what happens. Boom! Let’s quit f***ing around here.
Throw him in the deep end. Let’s see what you got, kid. That’s it. There’s no thought process. You’ve been doing great. Let’s go. Let’s see what you got.”
Bully added that he’d like to see Breakker defeat Punk in a squash match in about 30 seconds. This would be good for Bron’s momentum and instantly put him in the big leagues.
“I would have no problem with [Breakker beating Punk in 30 seconds] because it’s … shock and awe.
Absolute obliteration and destruction of CM Punk in this kid’s biggest match to date, you would be sitting back going, ‘What the frick just happened?'”
