CM Punk Vows To Break Drew McIntyre’s Heart
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre do not like each other and the two men continued their war of words on WWE Raw.
CM Punk cost Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship in a shocking moment at WrestleMania 40 and McIntyre is hell-bent on revenge.
However, any physicality between the two men has been curtailed with Punk injured since the Royal Rumble while Drew McIntyre was pulled out of the King of the Ring due to an injury of his own.
On Raw in Hartford, McIntyre was enraged at being replaced in the King of the Ring by Jey Uso, a man McIntyre has long had a problem with. The Scottish star stormed away from the arena in a car just as CM Punk pulled up to the show. Punk marched straight to the ring and vowed that he wasn’t leaving until McIntyre returned.
In a scene familiar to AEW fans, Punk called for McIntyre to come to the ring and when he didn’t Punk noted that the former World Heavyweight Champion must be afraid of him. Eventually, Punk did leave with no sign of McIntyre.
CM Punk Sends Chilling Warning To Drew McIntyre
Speaking in a digital exclusive after the show, CM Punk explained his endgame for Drew McIntyre and vowed to break the Scottish star’s heart:
It ends with me breaking his face. This isn’t me being a nice guy anymore, this is about him taking time off my career. This is about him potentially ruining a WrestleMania moment for me.
And me wanting to show him that he picked a very personal fight with the pettiest man on the roster that he can’t possibly win. I’ve fought big guys before, I’ve been beaten up. Psychologically, he cannot hurt me. And I’m gonna break his heart.
It remains to be seen how long Drew McIntyre will be out of action but fans in his homeland of Scotland will be hoping he’s back in the ring when WWE heads to Glasgow for Clash at the Castle on June 15th. They might also be wary of Punk’s warning that he’ll break McIntyre’s heart.
