WWE’s CM Punk Gives Major Update On His New Movie
CM Punk has been landing more film gigs of late.
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion has previously starred in various horror films, including the 2019 critically acclaimed Girl on the Third Floor.
With Survivor Series: WarGames just around the corner, the 47-year-old appeared on WGN News, where he spoke about returning to the Stamford promotion, winning the world championship for a second time since then, and movies.
In addition to revealing the details about an upcoming film, CM Punk also confirmed being one of the voice characters on Zootopia 2.
I got a new movie coming out called Night Patrol. It’s gonna be in, like, 1,500 theaters, coming out, like, January 16th, I think. Just did a voice for Zootopia 2. I’m one of the “Zebros.” I’m doing everything, and I’m doing everything as the champ, and it’s exciting. [4:55 onwards]
CM Punk Assembles A Full Team For Survivor Series On RAW
Last week’s WWE RAW made its first move towards Survivor Series: WarGames, setting up the men’s and women’s 5-a-team matches.
By the end of the show, it was confirmed that CM Punk, Jey Uso, and Cody Rhodes would be on the babyface team, and Bron Breakker, Bronson, Reed, and Logan Paul would make up the heel side.
On the following SmackDown episode, Rhodes and Jey were featured in a backstage segment, with Jimmy Uso joining them and announcing himself as the fourth member. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre was revealed as the latest member of Paul Heyman’s team.
During the November 17 RAW episode, both teams, shy of one man each, faced off and began a brawl.
Brock Lesnar interrupted the segment, joining Paul Heyman’s side. It was soon followed by Roman Reigns coming out to a huge roar from the Madison Square Garden audience, confirming him as the final member of Punk’s team.
While the show abruptly went off, the men continued fighting, with even the police finding themselves in the midst of it.
