CM Punk Receives Special Gift From MSG For WWE Return [VIDEO]
CM Punk didn’t leave Madison Square Garden empty-handed.
On December 26th, CM Punk wrestled in a WWE ring for the first time in a little over a decade. At WWE’s traditional Boxing Day event at Madison Square Garden, Punk took on Dominik Mysterio.
In the end, it was Punk who grabbed the win thanks to a GTS, before the veteran celebrated in front of a packed house at the ‘World’s Most Famous Arena.’
WWE has now shared a clip on social media of Punk being given a special gift by one of his friends at The Garden. In the video, Punk is presented with a blue box containing a plaque that reads “Welcome home, CM Punk. First WWE match in a decade. Sold-out Madison Square Garden”

CM Punk Is Just Getting Started
Following the match, CM Punk grabbed a microphone and addressed the Madison Square Garden faithful. The star began by thanking fans for their support and for welcoming him back to WWE and New York. Punk said that he was there to let everyone know that when he wins the Royal Rumble and goes on to WrestleMania, he’s not finishing his story, he’s just getting started.
In another huge match on the show, Cody Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a Bull Rope Match. The stipulation was made famous by the American Nightmare’s legendary father Dusty Rhodes.
