CM Punk Shoots On “Empty Headed” Adam Page
CM Punk had a great night in Chicago as he captured the AEW World Championship but he saved a verbal tongue lashing directed at Adam Page for after the show.
CM Punk has previously made his issues with former AEW World Champion Adam Page clear as he called Page out in an unscripted moment several weeks ago on Dynamite. The issues between the two men are believed to have stemmed from comments Page made in the build-up to their match at Double Or Nothing back in May.
At the post-All Out media scrum, CM Punk did not mince his words when it came to addressing the man he beat for the AEW World Championship:
“What did I ever do in this world to deserve an empty-headed f*cking dumb f*ck like Hangman Adam Page to go out on national television and f*cking go into business for himself? For what? What did I do? What did I ever do? Didn’t do a goddamn thing.”
“[…] I’m trying to run a f*cking business and when somebody who hasn’t done a damn thing in this business jeopardises the first million dollar gate this company has ever drawn off of my back and goes on national television and does that, it’s a disgrace to this industry, it’s a disgrace to this company. Now we’re far beyond apologies. I gave him a f*cking chance and it did not get handled and you saw what I had to do, which was very regrettable lowering myself to his f*cking level.”
CM Punk also took aim at The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega with comments that reportedly had The Elite “threatening to walk” from AEW.
