CM Punk Has Shocking Opinion Of Dominik Mysterio

CM Punk recently made a shocking comment about Dominik Mysterio.

Mysterio was involved with WWE before he even became a wrestler. He was featured in a 2005 storyline between his father, Rey Mysterio, and Eddie Guerrero, where the two rivals fought for his custody.

Years later, he made his debut at SummerSlam 2020. In just a few years, Dom has climbed the ladder of success very rapidly. He’s scored a few significant title reigns under his belt.

His most recent one was the Intercontinental Championship, which he lost to John Cena last week on Monday Night RAW in an impromptu match.

Despite all the success he’s accomplished in WWE in such a short time, WWE legend CM Punk doesn’t see potential in him.

CM Punk Believes Dominik Mysterio Lacks Potential To Be The Future Of WWE

On the latest episode of Mostly Sports, CM Punk was asked about Mysterio and if he sees the 28-year-old as the future of WWE. Punk straight up said no.

Walker: Dom Mysterio, do you think he’s one of the futures of this business?

Punk: No.

Walker: You don’t?

Punk: No.

Walker: I think he’s awesome.

Punk: Why?

Walker: I don’t know.

Punk: See, you don’t even know.

Walker: He’s got a mullet. He’s a little skeevy. It’s kind of awesome.

Punk: Okay. I mean, yeah. I mean, if you’re into that sort of thing, I am. That’s 100%.

Walker: You’re going to allow me to have that point of view?

Mysterio is set to challenge Cena for a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series on November 29. Therefore, he is going to be Cena’s penultimate opponent in WWE, and that accomplishment speaks for itself.

Punk might have been a little bit partial, as he’s not a big fan of Dirty Dom. Or he just made the statement to maintain kayfabe on the interview. Whatever the reason, there is no doubt that Mysterio surely has a bright future ahead.
