CM Punk Reveals Unexpected WWE Treat

CM Punk is enjoying life back with WWE.

At Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk shocked the world one more time when he returned to WWE at Survivor Series. To add to the shock factor, his return came just two months after he’d been fired by AEW following several high-profile backstage incidents.

Since returning to the company, Punk has overcome a serious triceps injury to main event WrestleMania and win two more World Championships. His second reign began at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1 when he beat Jey Uso.

However, according to the man himself, he didn’t expect to get his hands on the World Heavyweight Championship.

CM Punk Is Embracing Being WWE Champion

During an appearance on WGN, Punk reflected on his return to WWE two years ago and how his run has progressed since then. He went on to explain that he’s enjoying things more this time around as he’s aware the good times won’t last forever.

“Oh, it’s tremendous (being back with WWE). Literally having the time of my life and I think it resonates. I think you can see it. This (WWE World Heavyweight Title) is an unexpected treat.

Obviously, I’m older, I’m more mature, and I feel like I get it now. The weight of this, it isn’t so heavy but I have more of an understanding now. Like, yeah, this is part of the job and I know some day this is all gonna be over so I’m just enjoying it.”

CM Punk will be back in action at Survivor Series, where he’ll team with Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Usos to face Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Brock Lesnar, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed inside WarGames.
