CM Punk’s reaction towards a young fan in Saudi Arabia has put him in hot water.

Before returning to WWE nearly two years ago, CM Punk was very critical of the company’s partnership with the Saudi government. He even had a war of words with The Miz on social media over the subject.

However, The Second City Saint will now perform in the Saudi capital as he will challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions this Saturday.

As WWE stars arrived in Riyadh today, a video surfaced on social media showing Punk pushing away a young kid who wanted to take a selfie with him.

The 46-year-old’s reaction was heavily criticized on social media over his attitude towards the young fan. Some fans even jumped to the conclusion that he was unhappy being in Saudi Arabia.

While a fan called out Punk for his “horrible behavior,” another claimed Roman Reigns would have never done that.

Meanwhile, another tweet slammed The Second City Saint for being an “a**hole” to the young fan, stating that it was unnecessary even if he was not fond of Saudi Arabia.

Ex-WWE Writer Wants CM Punk To Turn Heel During Match With John Cena

Speaking on The Coach & Bro Show, former WWE head writer Vince Russo criticized WWE’s booking of CM Punk during John Cena’s pipebomb promo on SmackDown last Friday.

He claimed The Second City Saint laying there for 20 minutes after Cena put him through a table buried him. Meanwhile, he suggested the only way to save Punk’s character was to turn him heel during his match against The Franchise Player at Night of Champions.
