CM Punk Names His 2025 WWE MVP

CM Punk

CM Punk has named his WWE MVP for 2025 so far, and it’s someone fans won’t see for some time due to a recent injury.

WWE was forced to abandon Liv Morgan’s Raw match against Kairi Sane in a matter of seconds as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion suffered a separated shoulder. Sane was declared the winner of the match, but the injury will have far-reaching consequences.

The previous week, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella was involved in an altercation with Liv Morgan, which many believed was building to a match at the upcoming Evolution show in July. But that looks to be scrapped with Morgan requiring surgery that could see her out of action for six months.

But her rise to the top has not gone unnoticed by CM Punk.

CM Punk Has Nothing But Praise For Liv Morgan

Speaking on Kevin Hart’s Cold As Balls at Fanatics Fest, CM Punk gave a special shoutout to his 2025 MVP so far and says her recent injury is just part of the job:

Shoutout to Liv Morgan who recently got injured, she was like my MVP for the year.

I look at people like Liv who probably started right after I left, 2014-ish, and just from the time I’ve been around her and been able to see her work, just the way she’s developed this last year and just broken out of her shell and turned into this little worker, it kinda warms my heart.

I missed her the first part of the journey, but to be here, see her grow into who she’s become…it’s disappointing she got injured, but it’s part of the process, nobody gets out alive is what I like to say, when you do this, it’s just part of the job.

CM Punk will challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions, as it seems not even the threat of an impending all-out war in the Middle East will keep WWE out of Saudi Arabia.
