CM Punk Merchandise Setting Records After AEW Debut
CM Punk may have only been back in professional wrestling for a matter of days, but he is already setting records. AEW’s new signee is as popular as ever!
From the moment Punk ditched his hoodie revealing his new white t-shirt on AEW Rampage, demand for the first piece of AEW CM Punk merchandise went into overdrive. Both Pro Wrestling Tees and ShopAEW both reported having problems keeping up with demand as fans clamoured for Punk’s new shirt.
Even with the issues, Pro Wrestling Tees later revealed that the new shirt had broken the record for most shirts sold in 24 hours.
The company tweeted out the news under the caption “Best… in… the… world.”
The record was previously held by a special Brodie Lee tribute shirt, with all of the proceeds going to Lee’s family. Following the star’s untimely death, Punk donated all of the proceeds from his Pro Wrestling Tees sales to Lee’s family.

Pro Wrestling Tees has since revealed that Punk’s new t-shirt is their highest selling design ever. That is despite it only being available for 72 hours. The previous record had been held by the Bone Soldier Bullet Club shirt for the past seven years.
CM Punk’s return has also moved the needle in terms of the ratings for AEW Rampage.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the show brought 1.129,000 viewers, with 692,000 of those being in the prized 18-49 year old demographic. That equates to a rating of 0.53, which is higher than all but the debut episode of AEW Dynamite in 2019.
Thurston adds that the opening quarter-hour of the show featuring Punk, drew in 1.341,000 viewers with 842,000 in the 18-49 demographic. A rating of 0.65.
CM Punk will make his AEW Dynamite debut this Wednesday, August 25 in Milwaukee.
