WWE Hall Of Famer Impressed By CM Punk At Major Show

CM Punk

A wrestling legend was very impressed by how CM Punk interacted with him at one of the biggest WWE shows of the year.

The rivalry between former WWE Champions CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was perhaps the most personal rivalry of them all.

Their first PPV match of the year took place at SummerSlam when McIntyre beat Punk in a highly-contested match that saw Seth Rollins in the role of referee. McIntyre ended up winning that match due to Punk’s issues with Rollins.

CM Punk may have lost that first match to McIntyre, but he won the rivalry by picking up the win at Bash in Berlin and was also victorious in a brutal Hell in a Cell Match at Bad Blood.

Diamond Dallas Page is a WWE Hall of Famer who was a multi-time WCW World Champion. Page was at SummerSlam and he recently told Chris Van Vliet in an interview how impressed he was in a backstage meeting.

“For me, I’m a fan of CM Punk and everything about his whole Punk-ism, you know? Just how he connects with the people and is so over.

When he saw me, he literally came up, gave me a hug, and said, ‘Hey man, just want to welcome you in and thank you for paving the way.’ That was super cool of Punk. I already had a lot of respect for him, but that moment really meant a lot to me.”

Huge CM Punk-Seth Rollins Expected On Raw

It has been reported by multiple sources that WWE is planning to have CM Punk face Seth Rollins on the WWE Raw Netflix premiere episode on January 6th in Los Angeles. While WWE has yet to make the Punk-Rollins match official, the two men got into a brawl recently that certainly could lead to a match being made.

The first match officially announced for Raw’s Netflix premiere is between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, who will do battle in a Tribal Combat Match to determine who is the rightful Tribal Chief of WWE.
