CM Punk Reveals Last Conversation With Vince McMahon
CM Punk has held nothing back in a bombshell new interview as he opened up about his last encounter with disgraced ex-WWE chairman Vince McMahon.
Vince McMahon has been accused of serious sexual assault in a lawsuit that has changed the face of the company. As a result of the allegations, Vince McMahon was told to resign by TKO bosses and it seems his name is not likely to be heard on WWE TV moving forward.
Speaking on The MMA Hour, CM Punk revealed his last encounter with McMahon and said the former WWE chairman embraced him with open arms:
I was in there, and I was on the phone on the treadmill warming up. And Vince’s trainers [say] ‘Hey, you’ve got to get off the phone. Vince doesn’t like it when people are on the phone in the gym… And then I saw him walking down into the gym. He came in for his daily workout.
He gave me a big hug. He said ‘Welcome home. Good to see you. Let’s connect after I work out.’ I said alright. Haven’t seen him since [laughs.]
CM Punk Lifts Lid On AEW Mess
CM Punk addressed his scuffle with Jack Perry at AEW All In which ultimately led to Punk’s firing from the company. Punk claimed he thought he did the responsible thing as he didn’t punch anyone but “choked someone a little.”
There was also discussion over CM Punk’s controversial backstage visit to WWE before he made his return to AEW TV in the summer of 2023.
