CM Punk Lands Role In New Horror Series
CM Punk continues to expand his acting portfolio.
At Bad Blood, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre met for one final time to try and settle their heated feud once and for all.
In January, Punk got injured at the hands of McIntyre in the men’s Royal Rumble match, and this sparked a rivalry that ran for the best part of ten months. The men traded barbs while Punk was injured, and he even managed to cost McIntyre the World Championship twice.
But at the event, it was Punk who emerged victorious from a stunningly violent Hell in a Cell match, and he now holds two wins over his rival. However, on the following episode of Raw, Punk announced he was taking a break to recover from the beating his body had just taken.
Not that he hasn’t been keeping himself busy.
CM Punk Secures New Acting Gig
As reported by Variety, Punk will appear in a recurring role in the upcoming Syfy series “Revival.” The show is based on the Image Comics series by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton, and production is already underway in New Brunswick, Canada.
Punk will appear alongside Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, Andy McQueen, and Steven Ogg.
You can find the official description for the series below.
“On one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the ‘revived’ appear and act just like they once were. When local officer and single mother Dana Cypress (Scrofano) is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect.”
The news comes after it was confirmed in October that CM Punk will have a “key role” in the new horror thriller Night Patrol.
Back in June, it was reported that Punk had signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency. The agency now represents Punk in “all areas” as he looks toward “expanding his presence in entertainment.”
