CM Punk Lands New Role In Netflix Rom-Com

CM Punk has finally gotten his wish.

As reported by Deadline, CM Punk is set to star in the upcoming Netflix rom-com based on the novel “The Bodyguard.” Punk will reportedly play the role of “Doghouse.” The character is described as “a physically intimidating member of the security detail, who is known for his loyalty and humor.”

In the 2022 novel written by Katherine Center, a no-nonsense bodyguard is assigned to protect a charming action star over the holidays, leading sparks to fly and secrets to unravel, with Christmas getting a whole lot more complicated.

Back in April, CM Punk went public with his desire to feature in a rom-com, revealing that he was in a race with Dave Bautista to star in one. In typical Punk fashion, he said that he and the former Batista would “kill it” in the genre, adding that they’re both “emotional b*tches.”

CM Punk Gets New WWE Challenger

Back in the wild world of WWE, it’s been announced that Bron Breakker will be the next challenger for CM Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship. On the latest episode of Raw, it was confirmed that the match will take place on the January 5, 2026, edition of the red brand.

The show is set to be stacked to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Raw’s move to Netflix.
