CM Punk Vs. Jey Uso To End With Shocking Betrayal?
CM Punk and Jey Uso’s World Heavyweight Championship match at Saturday Night’s Main Event may end in an unexpected scenario.
Seth Rollins was recently stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship after falling victim to a shocking attack from his former faction, The Vision.
While CM Punk had already earned a World Heavyweight Title shot at Saturday Night’s Main Event after winning a number-one contender’s match, Jey Uso is now set to fight The Second City Saint for the belt after winning a Battle Royal last Monday on RAW.
The Battle Royal saw Jey and his twin brother, Jimmy Uso, work together. However, the former Intercontinental Champion unexpectedly betrayed his sibling and eliminated him from the match. Last Friday on SmackDown, Jimmy confirmed having tension with his twin during a conversation with Cody Rhodes.
Jimmy Uso To Help The Vision Against Jey Uso & CM Punk At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event?
While discussing the upcoming clash between Jey Uso and CM Punk on the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray wondered if The Vision could interfere in the World Heavyweight Championship match to attack both superstars, leading to the match ending without crowning a new champion.
The wrestling legend questioned if Jimmy Uso might rush to the ring with a chair to seemingly help his twin brother and Punk before shockingly throwing the chair to The Vision instead, signaling a massive betrayal.
Bully Ray’s co-host, former WWE Superstar Nic Nemeth (aka Dolph Ziggler), stated that it was possible, pointing out that WWE could build up to that moment.
Bully Ray: Do you think there was enough dissension between Jimmy and Jey last night that Punk and Jey are having a match and The Vision interferes, and The Vision are really laying it on Punk and Jey, because if they can’t be the champs or the championship can’t stick with them, then nobody’s gonna to be the champ, that Jimmy Uso runs in to make the save with a chair and then throws the chair to The Vision so they can beat the sh*t out of Punk and his own brother even more? Is there enough dissension with The Usos at this juncture?
Nic Nemeth: So, it’s real close. So yeah, there’s enough there to like, ‘Oh, this guy.’ But also, we have a couple weeks to make it even more so if that’s the case or at least tease it in there and then, you know, they keep their tough relationship together. [3:22 onwards]
