CM Punk Reveals Impact Of Liv Morgan’s WWE Absence
CM Punk, like other WWE superstars, has felt the absence of Liv Morgan.
Punk is currently on a promotional tour for WWE: Unreal, the Stamford-based company’s upcoming documentary series on Netflix.
The show will consist of five episodes and will premiere on July 29 on the streaming service.
During one of his media interactions, the former world champion appeared on the My Mom’s Basement With Robbie Fox podcast.
Here, he also discussed Liv Morgan, who suffered a shoulder dislocation during a RAW episode in June, which will keep her out of action for an extended period.
To me right now, Liv being out of commission, like, you can feel her absence on the show. But in that regard, too, it’s also next man or woman up.
Punk understands that the business can be cruel to wrestlers, and it does not distinguish between genders. So, it is up to the remaining talents to fill the void while showcasing their skills.
Liv Morgan’s Injury Has Impacted The Entire Women’s Locker Room
While Liv Morgan has undergone surgery, her rehab will take time, and it will be months before she returns to WWE programming.
Morgan had entered into a feud with Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, setting up a potential clash at the recently concluded Evolution PLE. However, the plan was scrapped.
Morgan’s tag team partner, Raquel Rodriguez, spoke to SHAK Wrestling, explaining how her injury had affected the women’s locker room.
Her getting injured and this impact that it’s had, not just on Judgment Day, not just on the Women’s Tag Team Titles, but on the entire women’s locker room is going even far past Evolution, you know?
It’s very unfortunate when someone has to sit out because of an injury, because of an illness. I know we all have been there. It’s really, really tough, and it changes you for the better. It makes you into a warrior because now you’re just battling something that you can’t control, and so, I know that Liv Morgan is very, very strong.
Due to the injury, Liv Morgan was officially replaced as one-half of the women’s tag team champions by Roxanne Perez.
