CM Punk Drops Huge Hint About AJ Lee’s WWE Return

CM Punk might have confirmed beyond any shadow of a doubt that AJ Lee is on her way back to WWE.

The last time WWE fans saw AJ Lee in the ring was all the way back in 2015. Since then, fans have wanted to see her back in the ring, and interest grew again when her husband CM Punk made his shock return to WWE after his own nine-year absence in late 2023.

Punk was one of Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship challengers at Clash In Paris and ended up screwed out of winning the title by Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch. Lynch is now part of The Vision on-screen in WWE and fans immediately salivated at the prospect of AJ Lee being the one to join Punk in his fight against WWE’s power couple.

Fans have already booked CM Punk and AJ Lee taking on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza, but it remains to be seen if that match actually happens. What seems to be increasingly certain is that Lee is on her way back to WWE.

CM Punk Teases AJ Lee’s Return

CM Punk has now dropped the latest cryptic hint on that happening as he shared a comic panel on his Instagram Stories with the character in it saying, “Ok, you asked for it.”

WWE has all but confirmed AJ Lee’s return to the ring, and it will be interesting if she does get to mix it up with Becky Lynch, as Lynch had not yet debuted on WWE’s main roster when AJ Lee retired from the company.
