CM Punk Hilariously Trapped Inside WWE HQ During Backlash
Life is never dull when you’re CM Punk.
As he continues to recover from a torn triceps, CM Punk appeared on the Backlash pre-show to discuss the upcoming event. However, once his on-screen duties were complete, Punk’s day took a hilarious, if unfortunate turn.
In a series of posts on social media, Punk revealed he’d been locked inside WWE headquarters. The star went to change in the bathroom following the pre-show, only to find he’d been locked in and everyone had left.
On his Instagram Stories, Punk went on a tour of the building while explaining his troubles. The former World Champion made a stop in the gym and popped up outside a door reading “Executive Wellness” before playfully slapping a statue of Andre The Giant in the crotch.
Drew McIntyre Claimed CM Punk Injured Him
Despite being injured CM Punk hasn’t strayed too far from the headlines. Punk suffered his injury at the hands of Drew McIntyre in the men’s Royal Rumble match, something the Scottish star has been incredibly proud of.
In the months since the Rumble, the pair have continued to take shots at each other, seemingly setting up a match at a later date. In a recent interview, Drew McIntyre confirmed it was during his scuffle with Punk at WrestleMania that he sustained a fractured elbow.
