CM Punk Match To Headline WWE Raw’s Netflix Debut

CM Punk on WWE Raw

CM Punk will be in action on Netflix.

After helping Roman Reigns to triumph in WarGames, CM Punk returned to Raw on December 2nd with renewed energy.

Punk cut a promo setting out his hopes for the future before being interrupted by Seth Rollins. The pair went back and forth on the microphone before things got physical. But just as things were getting really interesting the rivals were pulled apart.

In a pre-recorded interview the following week, Punk took several shots at Rollins claiming he stopped him from being fired earlier in his career.

While fans realised the spat was building to a match, its location appeared uncertain, until now.

CM Punk Set For Marquee Match On Raw

As noted by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, an earlier report from Chris Featherstone was correct, CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins will headline Raw on January 6th. Furthermore, Roman Reigns will also be in action.

Chris Featherstone reported Punk vs. Rollins as the main event for the 1/6 Raw show on Netflix. Those in WWE have confirmed that is the current planned main event. Featherstone also reported Reigns will have a match on the show.

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that WWE will crown the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion on Netflix. The premiere episode on January 6th is rumoured to feature the finals of the tournament that began on December 2nd.

A further report noted that several backstage figures are pushing for Natalya to win the tournament and become the first champion.
