CM Punk Has Other Plans For Major WWE Show
CM Punk might be injured but he has still been able to cause a fair amount of trouble in WWE but will he be doing the same at King & Queen of the Ring?
CM Punk was badly injured at the 2024 Royal Rumble which caused him to miss out on a match at WrestleMania 40. However, Punk provided commentary for the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, a role that ended up proving pivotal.
McIntyre defeated Rollins in front of Punk and couldn’t resist rubbing it in the former AEW star’s face. As a result, Punk attacked McIntyre allowing Damian Priest to run to the ring and cash in his Money In The Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
CM Punk has vowed to continue to break Drew McIntyre’s heart while McIntyre has issued a stark warning should Punk decide to show his face in Glasgow, Scotland for Clash at the Castle in June.
CM Punk Otherwise Engaged For Saudi Show
However, before that WWE is heading to Saudi Arabia for King & Queen of the Ring and PWInsider has now reported that most of the roster and staff are in the Middle East already for the show and SmackDown that will air the night before the PLE.
The report also noted that CM Punk will be announcing for Cage Fury Fighting Championships on the Friday night in Philadelphia suggesting he won’t be in Saudi Arabia for the WWE show. Drew McIntyre remains out of action for now, so in storyline at least, there is no real reason for Punk to want to be at that event.
