CM Punk Has New Aim After People “Moved The Goalposts”

CM Punk

CM Punk has outlined a new career goal after headlining night one of WrestleMania 41.

‘The Second City Saint’ achieved a lifelong ambition of topping the bill at WWE’s top Premium Live Event on 19th April, despite not having his hand raised in a triple threat match with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

The critically acclaimed bout was undoubtedly a highlight of a storied career for the Chicago-native, who already has WrestleMania contests with legendary Superstars such as The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton to his name.

With many debating if competing in the final match on night one of WrestleMania can be truly classified as headlining the event, CM Punk has revealed a new goal that will put that argument to bed.

Speaking during an Instagram Live video, the former WWE Champion confirmed he has his eyes on the main event of night two at a future WrestleMania:

“Sure, I do. Gotta hit night two for all those people that move the goalposts.”

CM Punk Cried All Day Ahead Of WrestleMania

CM Punk has admitted to being emotional ahead of his triple threat match with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41.

Having already been struggling to maintain his composure before the night one headliner, Punk revealed that he had to leave the gorilla position when the company aired a moving retrospective of his career.
