CM Punk “Almost Got Into It” With WWE Hall Of Famer

CM Punk WWE SmackDown

CM Punk’s recent trip to NXT was seemingly far from uneventful.

While he’s been out injured — and even before, CM Punk has kept a close eye on the young stars of NXT making several trips to tapings. For the March 12th edition of the show, Punk was again backstage, although Fightful reported that he kept a low profile.

However, it seems not everyone was exactly happy to see him.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, NXT announcer Booker T said he almost had a “little run-in” with Punk, but refused to give details.

“I did. I saw Punk. We’ll talk about that off the air [laughs]. I almost had a little run in with CM Punk. The internet might want to pick that up. Me and CM Punk almost got into it at NXT. We’ll talk about it later. I don’t want to put it out there because they’re going to pick it up and run with it. I’ll talk to you off the air,”

Fightful notes that one source claimed the comments were simply “Booker being Booker,” although details remain thin on the ground.

CM Punk To Make WWE Raw Return

Despite being injured, CM Punk will be returning to Raw on March 25th when the red brand stops off in Chicago.

The show will come live from the Allstate Arena, and extra seats are being made available as it was already sold out. This will be the first time Punk has returned to Chicago since his return to WWE at Survivor Series in the same arena back in November 2023.
