During an interview with Notsam Wrestling, The Best in the World explained that when AJ Lee returned, she was already on a pedestal. Her monumental impact on the women’s roster as a former WWE Divas Champion continued into the current era.

I don’t put her on a pedestal — she came that way. Right? She’s on a pedestal for a reason. And the spotlight when she came back was 100% hers.

AJ Lee teamed up with CM Punk against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins in a mixed tag team match. Punk and Lee secured the win, following which The Black Widow took some time off to promote her book.

Currently, she’s back in WWE, and possibly going to begin a feud with Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.

The feud was teased when Maxxine Dupri dethroned Lynch in November 2025 after AJ Lee arrived ringside to distract The Man. Lynch secured the championship back on the January 5th, 2026 edition of Monday Night RAW.
