CM Punk Defended After WWE Legend Calls For His Retirement

Has CM Punk lost his charm in the ring? Is it time for him to retire?

Recently, Kevin Nash made it to the headlines after making remarks about CM Punk. He first questioned why The Best in the World was wearing a t-shirt during WWE RAW’s main event, and secondly, he claimed that the World Heavyweight Champion’s punches had become soft.

I watched Punk in the main event of that match last Monday, the tag team match. Number one, if you’re the WWE Heavyweight Champion and you wrestle in a t-shirt, ouch. Number two, his punches looked really slow. He looked slow. I think it’s time for him. I think he’s done.

CM Punk still has moves, claims WWE Legend

While one legend dismissed Punk’s current greatness, another WWE Legend came to his aid. On The Stevie Richards Show, Richards claimed that CM Punk is focusing on telling a story and still has the five moves of doom.

[CM Punk’s] punches may have been, I don’t know if weak is the word, but at the same time, what he’s doing is slowing down and trying to tell a story. Punk’s still got the five moves of doom. And still, most of the time, he executes those very well.

The Best in the World did not comment on Kevin Nash’s criticism, but instead trolled him during a live event at Fort Myers, where he took off his t-shirt only to reveal a second one underneath!
