CM Punk Makes Bold Declaration About Drew McIntyre’s WWE Future

CM Punk has promised that Drew McIntyre will never again lift Championship gold in WWE.

The Chicago native returned to prevent McIntyre from claiming the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest in a hard fought main event, incensing a rabid crowd on hand at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow for the first ever Scottish-based Premium Live Event, Clash At The Castle on 16th June.

The pair have been on a collision course in recent months, engaging in a war of words both in person and on social media after Punk was injured at the hands of ‘The Scottish Warrior’ during his in-ring WWE return at Royal Rumble 2024 on 27th January.

Speaking during the post-Clash At The Castle Press Conference, surprise guest Punk revealed the reason behind his animosity with McIntyre and boldly declared his desire to prevent McIntyre from picking up another title in WWE ever again:

“I’m not mad that I was injured. Accidents happen. It’s a full-contact sport, you know? We’re athletes. Stuff goes wrong all the time, and I would never wish injury on another athlete, no matter how much I dislike them.

The animosity comes from being gleeful about it. He said he prayed for it. Now I’m going to prey on him, and he’s never going to ever be a champion as long as I live. Not as long we are on the same brand. Not as long as we are in the same company. As long as there is air in my lungs, Drew McIntyre is never, and I promise you he is never going to be a Champion again.”
