CM Punk Confirms Key WWE Demand
CM Punk has revealed that he requested to work the entire recent WWE European Tour.
The Chicago native is enjoying life back in WWE after making a surprise return to the company at Survivor Series 2023 following his release from AEW three months earlier after an infamous backstage altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In.
Punk was amongst the headline attractions as WWE embarked upon an unprecedented 11 city tour of Europe in March, that including live broadcasts of WWE Raw from Brussels, Glasgow and London.
Speaking during a video released by WWE ahead of WrestleMania Night One, ‘The Second City Saint’ revealed that he specifically requested to work the entire tour despite his advancing years:
“These tours are so few and far between now that I made sure that I requested to be on all of them ’cause there’s nothing like this connection I have with the audience.
Over here in Europe, they haven’t seen me in 10+ years. There’s not a drug in the world that can replicate just the feeling of doing what I do. So this is special for me, it’s special for them, it’s fun for all of us.”
CM Punk Believes WWE Superstars Deserve More Money
Despite being happy with his role back in WWE since returning to the company, CM Punk believes that the current WWE roster should be paid more money.
The WrestleMania 41 Night One main eventer admits that pay for wrestlers is in a good place currently but shared his belief that the overall success currently being seen by parent company TKO should filter down into higher remuneration for in-ring talent.
